At OMA, our passion is simple: to make exceptional bread.

As we grow, our menu and our community will grow with us — but our values will remain the same. We take the time to prepare our sourdough, pastries, cakes, breakfasts and lunches the right way: with care, by hand, and guided by the seasons. This is how we protect quality, whether you’re grabbing something quickly or sitting for a quiet moment in our flagship.

Everyone is welcome at OMA. We believe food is at its best when it brings people together. We aim to support the community around us, work responsibly, and waste less. We choose the finest ingredients, support small suppliers wherever we can, and keep our craft rooted in time-honoured techniques — including our long-fermented doughs and carefully maintained starters.

We bake with natural ingredients and human hands. We are ordinary people, but we want to make extraordinary things — and to bring warmth, honesty, and humanity back into everyday food. Nothing gives us more pleasure than a loaf baked fresh, made with patience, and shared with others.

Our Story

OMA began with something simple: a deep love for bread, coffee, and the quiet happiness they bring.

Badar, our founder, was a regular at his favourite bakery in Seeb — a place he visited at least three times a week. When it suddenly closed, it felt like more than just losing a good loaf. It was losing a small ritual, a place of comfort, and a standard of quality that was hard to replace.

Instead of accepting that loss, Badar took a leap.

He started Muscat Bread as a dedicated online sourdough bakery, focused on what he believed mattered most: natural fermentation, honest ingredients, and bread made with time and care. What began as a simple mission quickly became a community — customers who tasted the difference and kept coming back.

After a year of building Muscat Bread, Badar opened OMA, our flagship store — created to bring the experience to life. OMA is where customers can see the craft up close, feel the warmth of the bakery, and enjoy exceptional service that matches the quality of what we bake.

keep it simple, do it properly, and never compromise on craftsmanship.

Making Good Food Go Further

Our community supports us every day — and we believe it’s our responsibility to give back whenever we can.

We work hard to keep surplus food to a minimum and to waste as little as possible. When we do have leftover bread, pastries, or cakes, we set them aside carefully and donate them to local causes and people in need. If you know a charity, or community initiative that would benefit from regular donations, please reach out — we are always open to supporting meaningful work.

We also try to make responsible choices in how we operate. We use sustainable packaging whenever possible, and where that isn’t available, we choose options that are recyclable or compostable. Small decisions, done consistently, can make a real difference.
